In A Nutshell

Lexington Law Firm has been doing credit repair since 2004, is one of the biggest names in the industry, and has removed millions of negative items from customers’ credit reports.

This is an in-depth review of Lexington Law Firm.

In this up-to-date review, we’ll break down:

  • Who Lexington Law Firm is
  • How much Lexington Law Firm costs
  • Lexington Law Firm’s refund policy
  • Things we like
  • Things we don’t like
  • Whether they’re worth the price tag
  • Lots more

So if you’ve got a bad credit score and you want to see if Lexington Law can help, let’s hop to it.

Who is Lexington Law Firm?

Lexington Law Firm is one of the best credit repair companies.

Based out of Utah, they are a team of professional lawyers and paralegals who have been in business since 1991 and introduced credit repair services online in 2004. They’ve developed their own processes to help reduce costs so that lawyer-backed credit repair could be affordable for everyone.

They’ve served thousands of clients in their nearly three decades of business and removed millions of inaccurate negative items from credit reports.

For a monthly fee, Lexington Law Firm will work to dispute questionable negative items from your credit report and credit history. If removed, it can have a positive impact on your credit.

Lexington Law Firm is not a scam. It does take time and patience for any credit repair company to work and educate you to help improve your credit.

Does Lexington Law Firm Really Work?

Yes, Lexington Law Firm works by helping you increase your credit score by working to get inaccurate negative items removed from your credit reports. Lexington Law Firm is a law firm and credit repair organization that helps people dispute items on their credit reports with the goal of improving their credit standing.

Like all credit repair organizations, Lexington Law Firm doesn’t do anything to repair your credit that you can’t do on your own, but it’s a reputable firm that can make credit repair easier and less frustrating if you have a busy schedule or simply don’t want to take on the task of credit repair by yourself.

How to sign up for Lexington Law Firm

Signing up for Lexington Law Firm is an easy process—just go to their website and sign up for your free online credit report consultation.

Within forty-eight hours of signing up online, a team member from Lexington Law Firm will contact you to start the credit repair process.

How Lexington Law Firm Works

Once you sign up for Lexington Law Firm, they get to work to resolve your unique credit issues, which begins with pulling your credit reports from all three bureaus: Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.

Reviewing Your Credit Reports

With their credit repair process, they analyze these reports with you and examine any information affecting your credit score. The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires credit bureaus to record only valid, verifiable, and accurate information. The negative items on your report must be removed if they do not meet these criteria.

Sending Dispute Letters

Next, their team starts sending dispute letters to the targeted creditors or bureaus to verify those nasty late payments and charge-offs. Who these letters go to depends on what type of error they find.

For example, if a negative item appears to belong to someone other than you, they would probably send the first dispute letter to the credit bureau reporting it.

Once they’ve disputed all the items they legally can, they wait for responses.

This process is repeated until the matter has been resolved as much as possible. If not, they continue sending the cease and desist letters on your behalf on applicable service levels.

Extra Services

During the process, you’ll also receive credit mentoring and credit report monitoring. You’ll have access to an online portal that connects you to updated credit report monitoring as well as educational resources and tools for you to start working on your score. You can contact their team via chat, email, or phone for any questions or concerns.

And if you sign up for either of the top-tier services—the Concord Premier or Premier Plus—you’ll receive some additional services such as access to your credit analyses through the online portal. And you won’t have to pay for the additional monthly credit reports they pull.

Lexington Law Firm’s Plans

Lexington Law Firm offers three levels of service to meet every consumer’s credit repair needs for a monthly fee. Before signing up, you are offered a free credit report consultation with a member of their team.

This consultation helps you decide if you’d like to sign up, and which plan is best for you:

Concord Standard: $89.95/mo.

With their most basic service, Lexington Law will communicate both with the creditors and credit bureaus on your behalf (they call these Bureau Challenges). It might be the right fit for you if you simply need some help disputing a few incorrect items on your report or intervene with a creditor.

Concord Premier: $109.95/mo.

The Concord Premier is their mid-tiered service, and Lexington Law will communicate with your creditors and credit bureaus. But you will also receive credit monitoring to alert you when your credit history changed, and you’ll also get a credit score improvement chart every month, along with InquiryAssist.

InquiryAssist is an add-on service intended to address excessive inquiries and is designed for people who need moderately-aggressive credit repair.

Premier Plus: $129.95/mo.

The Premier Plus package is the top-of-the-line package for people needing aggressive credit repair. It includes all the credit repair services of the others, but in addition, you’ll receive your FICO® score data every month and various identity fraud and financial tools.

If you’ve been the victim of identity theft or fraud, this is the package you will probably want to purchase, as it includes identity theft protection and has identity theft insurance coverage worth a million dollars.

Lexington Law Firm’s Prices

  • Concord Premier: $109.95
  • Premier Plus: $129.95

Pros and cons of Lexington Law Firm

We like Lexington Law Firm for your credit repair needs for several reasons:

  • Legal staff. The main thing that makes Lexington Law Firm stand out is its legal staff: everyone is either an attorney, a paralegal, or someone trained by them. In other words, when they work to repair your credit and offer advice, you can rest assured that it is done legally and professionally.
  • Reasonable pricing. With Lexington Law Firm, you can get a basic credit repair package for $89.95 a month—which will work for almost everyone—and even the upgraded packages aren’t too terribly expensive at $109.95 and 129.95 per month, which we think is worth the money.
  • Superior credit counseling. We love that Lexington Law uses a completely customized approach to credit repair—when you sign up for their services, you have immediate access to your online portal that provides detail and education on your credit situation. You can also contact their team via chat, email, and the phone number provided.
  • Tons of experience. Lexington Law Firm has been around since 1991, but they’ve been offering credit repair services since 2004, so you can bet they know a thing or two about the business. In this time, they’ve helped over 520,000 clients repair their credit and removed millions of inaccurate and questionable negative credit report items.
  • Positive customer interaction. Lexington Law Firm’s success stories speak for themselves, but what impresses us just as much is how they handle client complaints. Their Better Business Bureau (BBB) profile does contain some customer complaints and negative reviews, but they address each of them personally and appear to have closed them all with a positive conclusion for the customers.

As with any company, Lexington Law Firm does have some areas we feel they could improve on, such as:

  • Mediocre BBB rating. Unfortunately, Lexington Law Firm is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau, and they have a rating of C, which is not normally a great sign. However, we still stand behind the company because they appear to address and resolve any and all complaints.
  • Confusing pricing tiers. As we talked about earlier, Lexington Law has three service levels: Concord Standard, Concord Premier, and Premier Plus, which are priced at $89.95, $109.95, and $129.95, respectively. While three tiers may seem like a good idea for a service, it can be a little confusing to figure out which service you really need for the cost.
  • Extra charge for additional credit reports, based on service level. If you sign up for the basic plan—the Concord Standard—Lexington Law will charge you $14.99 for every credit report they have to pull. To avoid this payment, you can request your annual free credit report from TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax on your own.

And here are some other reputable credit repair companies in the industry:

Alternatively, you can take a stab at repairing your credit by yourself, if you only have one or two negative items holding you back. But if you have multiple credit card accounts, personal loan accounts, and student loan accounts to deal with, we recommend using professionals.

How long does Lexington Law Firm take to repair your credit?

On average, it will take Lexington Law Firm about six months to repair your credit.

Remember of course that every case is different, and many of the customer complaints are based on this misunderstanding.

A lot of people are able to see drastic results within 90 days, and most see their best results after six months, but there are some cases that can take up to a year to show drastic improvement. To work towards results, utilize the education they provide on the online portal to understand your credit.

These cases that take longer are typically due to extensive fraud or identity theft that requires multiple letters and intervention to resolve.

But it’s important to know that it can take time to see the results you want, and there are no guarantees you’ll see any results at all. In some instances, negative items are proven and will, unfortunately, remain on the credit report.

Lexington Law Firm review summary

Whether your credit is mildly bruised or completely in the toilet, a credit repair service can help you change the course of your financial future.

Lexington Law Firm is one of the top credit repair organizations available and we highly recommend you give them a try.

While many other companies offer similar services, very few of them have an entire legal team going to bat for you like they do.
